History
Metalogix was founded in 2001 in Vancouver, BC, Canada, by Julien Sellgren, Rasool Rayani, and Geordie Henderson with the goal of creating tools for migrating Microsoft SharePoint content easily and quickly. It was expanded in 2008 with the addition of the archiving business from H&S Software of Vienna, Austria. Metalogix added the StoragePoint product line from BlueThread Technologies in 2010. Metalogix is profitable and privately held. The company’s investors include Bessemer Venture Partners and Insight Capital Partners.

Migration Products

It addresses content reorganization, server consolidation, 32-bit to 64-bit platform transitions and cross-farm migrations.
Metalogix Website Migration Manager for SharePoint (WSMM) streamlines website authoring, workflow and publishing by migrating existing websites and document content to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. It avoids a time-consuming and labor-intensive manual process by automating arduous tasks such as generating lists of URLs, copying and pasting snippets of HTML, and correcting links.
FileShare Migration Manager (FMM) migrates corporate file shares, web-based document repositories, and personal drives to SharePoint. It consolidates file shares quickly, makes documents assets more searchable, maximizes existing content, and reduces migration costs.
